Wrong Side Of The Tracks

These photos of railroad tracks at the South end of Chattanooga are a continuation of my last post taking a look at the industrial past of Chattanooga. The city still has large industries but now boast itself as an art and outdoor city.

The railways played a big part in the Civil War (see Great Locomotive Chase) and Chattanooga’s development as an industrial city. The railways are still in use, although not as much in the downtown area as they once were. They have become “home” to many of the homeless community who catch a ride on trains to locations all across the country.
